7 principles for an effective affiliate marketing

My opinion on what affiliate marketing is that it is not necessary to try to sell "something" so aggressively to your audience to make some money with your blog.
Some would say that this would make more money. This blog should have Google Adsense ads on each post. That should put a lot of advertisements in the sidebar (maybe put some but not more than 4 125 x 125 format). I should use ads in text link format. Make post analyzing some affiliate product and so an infinite list of "should this or that".

Let me put it clear: I do not agree with aggressive marketing.

All these things they do is divert the direction of this blog (and all blogs should have), the content and the good relationship with my readers.
If you write great content, things of interest to your audience, that makes them come back for more and that is useful to the extent that helps them solve their problems and / or respond to your concerns, you have all the potential (and more importantly, the foundation) to make money online.Abraham principles for effective affiliate marketing.
These are the rules that I consider most important to make money with affiliate marketing. They are also those that have used it myself with good results in other websites and I use in this blog. May you have a different take or use other methods (share them in the comments), but these are the ones that work for me.Affiliate marketing starts with the first impression.
The first impression is very important because it will lead what the tone of the whole experience of a visitor through your website, including all transactions that may occur now or in the future.
What is your first impression when you visit a website and is crowded with ads? What does a place like this to tell those who visit for the first time?

"Hello, nice to meet you - click here to earn money I"

It's like if you meet someone for the first time and the first thing he does is try to sell you something. That is not so, at least from my point of view, to build a lasting relationship.
I prefer to know someone first, trust that person and then then tell me what they could offer. Or better still be me who asked this person that you offer and how that offering could Serme useful. If this happens it is because we have built a real relationship of trust that has awakened in me a genuine interest in what the other person could offer me.
What do you see when you get to my home page? Do you think I'm on selling something? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Only promote products you've used before or currently use.
The way I try to make some money with affiliate links is only promoting products that I have used or currently use, in which trust and personally recommend to my friends if they were my own and would like to reach my goals same results. I think anyone with a hearing has the responsibility to do the same.
It is to believe if you see someone who uses an Android phone trying to sell Iphones.Always try to describe the product you sell.
If you are promoting a product that is supposed to know something of the (promotes only what you know). Share this knowledge and your experience with your audience and they will want to know more so what is quite possible that click on your link. If you can show some real data in the form of graphs or similar.Content first, second affiliate link.
Although I just said you should always describe the products you promote, the content you write should lead to affiliate links and not vice versa. Do not write articles for the mere fact of placing an affiliate link inside.Only one or two products promotes the same type.
There are several reasons why you should never promote more than two products of the same type:

The more product promotions be less credible each. If you promote to Company X, Company Y tomorrow, and passed to the Z, the three were no longer credible in the eyes of potential customers and you absolutely will not trust anyone.

The more similar products promotions will be more difficult for people to take a decision on which one to use, usually end up not taking any.

If you promote only the same product over and over your audience will come to realize that there must be something special about this product and only with that and that's why you promote it well.

Only promotes the most profitable products.

Only promotes those products you report the greatest amount of money and forget the rest. I know this only after much trial and error tests. So you analyze what products work best and delete the rest.
If you have, for example, several banners in your sidebar and you really only 2 reported earnings, eliminates the rest because all they do is take up valuable space that you can use for other things.

Test, test and retest.

Use a resource page or tools.
A page of resources or tools is a page that contains links to web sites, products and services related to your interests. This is the perfect place for affiliate links. Take advantage and create one if you have not already done so.
Not only is it very effective for you but it is a very useful source of help for your readers who might be looking for additional resources related to your niche.
Everybody wins.

Conclusions

With these principles in mind affiliate marketing can be a source of passive income. The articles you write on your blog today will be for a long time on the web with affiliate links you include in them. If you do well and honestly get the good results you expect.
